I don’t recommend a golf cart rental if you are staying at any Wyndham location. The entire set up is more hassle that it’s worth. Also, where they keep your golf cart charging, you get blocked in by people parking their cars/ trucks and can’t even access your golf cart. If you leave it charging, someone unhooks it which creates a sketchy experience to get back once taking it out for a spin as the battery quickly declines. I see zero reason to waste your money. This was the biggest waste of time/ money for us of our entire trip. I even called to say that our cart was unplugged and blocked in making it unable to use and they didn’t even call me back with an offer of apology. Serious waste of money.

My fiancé and I visited Edisto a few weeks ago. We received excellent service from Edisto Bike and Golf Cart Rentals while on our trip. In particular, we had two great experiences with them. First, our original golf cart’s battery ran out while we were a distance from our vacation home. This was likely our fault, as we did not know that the electric carts only run a short distance. Nonetheless, a kind man promptly met up with us and replaced our golf cart with one that had a better battery. He also followed us to our vacation house to be sure that power was getting to the cart properly. The service was quick, kind, and came at no extra cost. Second, a few days into our stay, a loved one passed away back home. I contacted Edisto Bike and Golf Cart Rentals to say that we would be leaving a few days early. Again, they were sympathetic and kind. Further, I was refunded for the two days that we left early. I did not expect a refund nor was it in any contract to my knowledge. We will definitely rent from them in the future!

Called to reserve 10 bikes for our beach vacation at Edisto. They DON'T TAKE RESERVATIONS! What? That makes no sense! The guy said they've tried it and can't make it work. Seriously? There are so many systems out there to make that doable and easy for all involved. Both Edisto Essentials and Island Bikes & Outfitters take reservations, so we went with Edisto Essentials for the same price and free delivery. It was simple and gave me peace of mind that our bikes are reserved and will be delivered and waiting for us when we arrive.
