What a gem! An expansive and diverse collection brought to life via friendly, knowledgeable guides… and somehow it’s free?! Get down here and learn about the amazing cultures and traditions that were “somehow” left out of North American classrooms. Then thank the nice people for adding something new to your brain. So yeah. If anyone needs me I’ll just be over here googling the Yoruba tribe and collecting cowrie shells.

My mom and I went here today and had a wonderful time. Anita was a AMAZING Tour guide around the museum and informed us about many things. 10/10 would recommend and come again!

Very informative and a special memory created with stories told via priceless art. You can actually feel the emotions of the people who carved them.

Hey there Jeremy! Our admission is free for the general public, and always free for students. However, there will be a large group rate for tour companies and events. We look forward to your visit!
We at this time do not have a gift shop. But what we do have are Central Africa or West Africa postcards as a reward for a minimum donation of $10. We also have some very nice tote bags that are rewarded for a minimum donation of $20.
We will be reopening February 1, 2019. From that point on we will be open to the public for tours Wednesday - Saturday 11:00 am - 5:00 pm. with tours starting every 30 minutes. Our last tour of each day will begin at 4:30 pm. We look forward to your future visit!
