Nice park to see the River and Bridge! Nice at sunset! Lots of people fishing on the pier.

As a local, first time and I must say this is a hugh park area.. no splash zone but more of an out door adventure. Many statyres and historical markers of the people that served.. You can see Charleston harbor, patriots point,, the marsh, and smell tge salty air. The Ravenel bridge, is located above this spacious geens space, also has play ground area, fishing pier, benches to sit and relax. Pet friendly. Beautiful view. Free.

Great way to spend the day. Large grass area for picnics, beautiful pier to walk and fish from, and fun playground for kids. Making an update: they updated the playground equipment so they now have multiples that are good for all ages! Bonus that the playground is in the shade of the bridge! Pier has a cute little shop with nice things as well as food and smoothies and ice cream.

Beautiful place 😍
No access unless someone has a shallow hull to get into the marsh. Even then I think it's frowned upon. There is a boat landing upriver and and the marina just south of the pier.
Good to know
No. There is no camping allowed. The park closes nightly at 11:00 pm
Reservations have to be made beforehand but yes.
Yes. In the gift shop and by the memorial (across the field from the playground.)
There is a parking lot specifically for walking the bridge. It is directly across the street from the park.
Not in the park. There's a cafe that sells beer but I believe you have to drink it there.
It's not a large park and I wouldn't recommend a group of that size there. But it is a public park and I've never seen any postings about group size.
I think when I went it said no dogs beyond that point ( I know the answer is late but it might help other people out)
Depending on the time of day the bridges overhead can shade the playground.
Tackle and rod rentals are available and the pier hours are January- April 8 am - 11 pm
Yes it is
