Maybe a couple of weeks a month at most. They'll send a letter in the mail telling you if you're elgible orThen
After completing the full application and forms yes a background check will be processed. If you are eligible for the program you will be sent an appointment letter to attend a briefing.

You apply to be on the wait list when it is open. I suggest subscribing to the housing authority's website to get notifications. The wait period varies depending on the funding for the program.
What are they not taking care of and are they through GHA?
TGHA has currently all the waiting lists for elderly properties open, if you are 62 or older, you can submit your application visiting our website, select Apply for Housing: https://www.tgha.net/apply-for-housing. Other organizations that may offer help are: United Housing Connections - (864) 241-0462 United Way - 211 Community Works - (864) 235-6331
Listing Available Rental Unit(s) Voucher holders are referred to the TGHA GoSection8 website to search for available housing units. Landlords can list properties on this website at no cost. Please make sure that you use the correct web address when accessing GoSection8. Other sites may charge a fee to list your property. http://tgha.gosection8.com
Sorry Cody that's an answer I'm searching for also in addition to finding out how one applies for it too. GOOD luck.
The main office is over in greenville. It's actually directly behind the SCDOT main building. Across from University Square.
I'd try there they seem to be one of the places to go I think there's a few other places in Greenville that can help.just got to look around
If you already have a voucher you can ask your current housing authority to port it to The Greenville Housing Authority.
You can call to check the status your application.
I have an appointment to get my vouchers back in July I didnβt get them the same day because I forgot To bring my kids birth certificate meanwhile she told me I could send them in when I got home and I did through her email and just now received my voucher at the end of the last month in the mail no I have been looking for a place ever since I got them meanwhile my vouchers are for Anderson County but Anderson County doesnβt have anything available until after Christmas and my deadline is December 24 is there anyway possible if I could transfer to Greenville because I currently live in Greenville now or do I have to reply again and wait on the waiting list And Iβm also on disability
It depends on when the property manager sends in your application and then it takes roughly up to 15 days for them to come out to inspect.
