Decent old hotel, lots of antiques and old nostalgia in the lobby. They have an old plane out in front that you are able to go in and the kids loved it. They were able to sit in the cockpit and push all the buttons and act like they were flying it. The also have a nice indoor outdoor pool and continental breakfast.

I'm giving it 5 stars for the overall great experience. After driving by this place every year on our camping trips at Governor Dodge State Park, we finally decided to book a room for 2 nights in the Sherwood Forest fantasy suite. It's a really cool room with great landscape. The continental breakfast was awesome, and they had a wide variety of options that most continental breakfasts don't have. Now the bad... The owners of the place seemed to just let it go, and it's unfortunate because the place has a lot of great characteristics. Just about everything in this hotel is dated and in need of repair. Hopefully, they can make some improvements going forward and perform some much needed repairs before its too late. There's a lot of history here, and this hotel is truly one of a kind. I can't wait to come back and stay in some more of their fantasy suites!

Ah, a getaway from home for a few days. Novel rooms. Ours was clean. Jacuzzi worked well. Pool looked good but didn't try it. Not busy on a Monday & Tuesday. Had sugar free syrup for their pancakes, but 2 days in a row of biscuits and gravy? I opted for instant oatmeal & pancakes. Cool old decor but some things may need more maintenance.

Our suite was nice and clean upon arrival. We had a nice room but I couldn't help but notice some age on it as well as some things that frankly were just cheap like any other hotel. My fiance and I had a great time though well worth the money
