You can go up a good ways but it depends on the river levels and what you are in to get up the river.

Yes. pass damn. Long ways by salada river. Salada rivers resort has boat landing. And great camp sites on water. Rv friendly. Pool hot bath. Nice. Myself can't wait to go back

Fishing is decent...but there's a catch, like the pool, it will cost you. $5.00/day or $10/ 3 day's. Not sure what the charge is for fishing. But I'm willing to bet, you'll have to pay for it somehow. As for the campground itself,Very Poor! The bath house was built sometime in the 70's and hasn't seen any upgrades or improvement since that time. Campsites are marginal at best. It seems as if the folks who first camped there years ago...are still there. Only they've added on to their tent or camper with whatever was cheapest or on hand. I've camped at site's all over the East Coast and a good many places West of the Mississppi but I've never seen a place like Saluda River. Ever! Look, maybe my standards are too high. Maybe, I'm just a jerk. Maybe... I'm being too hard. Maybe. But in Seneca,SC (my hometown)you could not get away with something that nasty and low rent. However, I'm Not always Right. So, it may be for you..if your married to your sister or a farm animal.
