Only four stars due to poor drainage. There were deep puddles at the end of many of the pads after it rained. The bathrooms were well maintained and clean throughout my stay. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed at Charleston AFB rv park and we honestly can't say enough good things about the park. The staff were very accommodating. Their grounds are very well kept. You can go bicycling, disc throwing, golfing, sporting rentals, as well as site seeing the stationery aircraft and much more! We give it a five star!

$23 per night. $690 for 30 days.
Yes. My husband is disabled and the campground is great. We have also stayed at the Navy campground(not as nice as AF but at least its convenient & quiet. AF is beautiful but anything but quiet. Revally 7 am, 4 pm & 10 pm REALLY LOUD. But it's worth it.
No but you must be military. Retired us ok too.
Yes, you can back anyone. You have to make the reservation AND PAY FOR IT. Of course, they can reimburse you but you are responsible. We've done that with a couple of our friends.
10 minutes give or take traffic.
Courtney Boone is correct. The simple answer is "yes, so long as you have an eligible sponsor (active or former military staying with you)."
No idea, I never ride by that area.
It is not open to the public. You must have access to the base. An awesome camp site.
Jeff, If you have an ID card that allows you to get on base you can use the campground
You can't use the park because you have to have a military ID to get on base.
Cost is $20 a night includes water and electricity.
No, you wouldn't be able to just leave your RV on base. Are storage lot is currently full and we don't allow temporary storage at this time.
Authorized Users Active Duty, National Guard, Reservists, Retired Military, 0-100% DAV, Purple Heart Recipients, Former POW, Veteran Caregivers, DoD Civilians, Sponsored Guests. Read this Article on Authorized Users. Active duty military stationed at Joint Base Charleston or DoD card holders working on or with Joint Base Charleston are not allowed to stay in the FamCamp unless on leave.
Military issued IDs or a visitor pass are required to gain access to base... Visitor pass might not get you overnight access but the campground doesn't check for military id (typically)... Their main concern is if you are stationed or working on JBC. Either situation is not allowed to stay at the JBC campground per regulation
Only military members who are active, retired or full disability, I was traveling with my son in law, who gets 100 percent from Iraq, and daughter.
Retired, active duty, and dod personnel.
Yes you can tent camp. There are several campsites specifically for tents there.
Yes, for up to two weeks.
Retired vets or 100% disabled. Basically you need to have a Military ID or CACs card to use it.
About 30 minutes with traffic.
Every campground has their own rules but in general you must be active duty, retired military, national Guard or in the Reserves, military dependent/spouse or 100% disabled vet due to duty. Generally active duty and retirees take precedent over Guard and Reservists. Busier campgrounds such as Charleston tend to have more restrictions.
Yes, there is a golf course just opposite of the Family Campground. There is a playground. My kids are grown but it looks like a nice playground. That is right of campground. And a pavillion next to playground. Also I'm sure they have other playgrounds to.
