I called to ask a question about A marriage license and the woman who answered started screaming at me before I could even finish my question. She mistook me and thought I was someone else just based on my first name. Then I informed her that she had me confused and that this is the first time I had called her asking about this question. She then proceeded to yell at me again. I think her name might be Janis? I was very polite on the phone but she was screaming at me and I don’t even know why she was yelling in the phone. She sounded like an older lady. Not sure if she was having a bad day, but it sounds like she really needs some time off or to get a new job

What's not amazing about marrying the love of your life 💗

Government robots do not care...first and foremost...They’re bureaucrats Morty - it's the same thing. Second, The lady who works in this office is incredibly rude and inconsiderate. If you ever read this frizzy-haired lady - you are not liked at all by me. At all. The fact that I have to see you at least one more time this afternoon to pick up my marriage license is making my skin crawl as I type. To the snider guy that was in there at 4:27 I hope you went to North Carolina to get your license - protest this - I will - you know what I'm gonna make a sign right now to wear while waiting in the office to pick up my license...done and done... But that is beside the point - my biggest complaint is the apparent law that tacks on a $20 fee to a state run domestic violence fund to marriage licenses. I'm all for helping people who are victims of domestic violence but to require the fee to get a marriage license...I honestly find it offensive and sexist against men. Why would I need to pay into a fund to help victims of domestic violence in order to get married? Who came up with that idea? How was this a good idea? Does anyone else see a problem in linking the two things together? "There's a $20 fee sir, to help out women who were beaten by men, like you, in their marriages - congrats on your marriage - jerk. Oh you don't like that? Too bad sir you gonna have to take that up with your state legislature. I'm sure that will fix it and you can have your $20 back then - after you change the law sir. Have a good day." This law has been around since 2001 apparently - I'd really like to see if ANY of the millions of dollars fleeced from couples eager to start their lives together has actually helped ANYONE that is a victim of domestic violence. Fleecing people to fund ineffective initiatives - that solve nothing - is why people hate the government. Oh, and have a nice day.

24 hrs
Yes! You have a 24-hour wait from the ending of the application on the previous day.
It's $45.00 for G'ville County residents, $75.00 for Anderson County residents.
I don't work from home, but if you go to our website: greenvillecounty.org/probate; click on marriage license and search for where you can pay online. And when we receive that payment, you will receive an email to inform you the date your certified copy is mailed out. Because of the present situation, you will not be able to come in person until after April first. Stay safe...and enjoy your day!
It depends, if you're a Greenville county resident $45 non resident is $75 and a resident outside of South Carolina is $95.
I dont think so but you can get your license at the probate office
Yes you can request it to be mailed to you! I live out of state and we had it within a few days.
