I had a few things to drop off for recycling and after checking the website for directions and hours I arrived on Wednesday afternoon at w:30. The place was closed, even though the signage clearly indicated it was too be open (5 days a week from until 7:00 PM. Not only was I unable to recycle, but I drove needless miles. What a waste of time and resources.

No, they don't require anything like that. They have different dumpsters for different household junk. Just check with the men at the lot when you arrive, but the dumpsters are labeled by product items.
