Officer sitting at the front is rude to people for no reason at all yelling at people for trying to close the door. Ridiculous if you ask me he’s just overall rude for no real reason at all.

The only reason I didn't leave a 1 rating is my wait time was reasonable...Went into the office about my dad's passing, to apply for death benefit and to have my mother (survivor) to start receiving his benefits. The black lady(?) who "assisted" me acted as if she cared less..not congenial, didnt explain the process.. nor even introduce herself,, certainly no smile..just typed, typed and mumbled several times..I Thought she was speaking to another on the phone...but I had to ask if she was speaking to me.. and asked what she said...then said she was setting up an appt. I asked an appt. For what? Thought this would be taken care of here..?? Thats when she finally disclosed there had to be a (phone) appt. To apply and my mother has to be present. I had told her she was bedridden, couldn't come in and can't hear on the phone.. Then told her I had a Power of Attorney..she just said we don't take that. (WHAT?) She told me a date, time of appt... didn't write it down for me or provide some professional document. She just sat there.. (I assumed the appt. Was over) no thank you from her, just silence. Out of human courtesy, when I first told her my dad had passed... She didnt even say one word..maybe I sorry to hear..or my condolences.. no.. just sitting there like a robot with no feelings nor offering explanation of the process about what needed to be done, what is the process.

I had a bad experience called about my daughters approved disability and was told I needed to call another office and have them transfer her information over. I was unaware that is my responsibility when they are the ones working the case??? She was extremely rude and insensitive. Makes me wonder how they treat our elders or others who cannot fend for themselves. Called the other office and was told they work the case until completion and then transfer to correct area. Either way they all tell u different information that conflicts each other I think training is in line. How do they hire people like this???? You would think working for the government they would be trained a little better on how to respectfully perform customer service.

Doubt it best to call them either that or go on line to ssa.gov.

I requested funds to purchase a vehicle for my disabled son weeks ago at the Georgetown Social security office and have heard nothing from them. He missed an appointment today as a result. What are they doing with the funds? Misappropriation?

You may gave applied at Georgetown but some things such as disability equipped vehicles they can only gather your information and send it off for approval from someone higher up the food chain.
