The previous rating was not me (maybe my pocket)? Not sure because I enjoyed eating there and the atmosphere was nice. I would eat there again for sure.

Our family of six plus baby went to Fish Camp for the first time tonight. We are long time visitors of HH approximately 30 years. We go out for diner ALOT and we rarely post reviews. I was greeted in the parking lot by a hostess who was not friendly and seemed to care less if we decided to stay for dinner. We waited an hour to be seated. We were told to expect to wait and were ok with this situation. We ordered six drinks at the bar that were very average and hastily made considering the high price. We ordered several appetizers for the table including the local May River oysters on the half shell. They were tasty and fresh but were literally the smallest oysters I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure that oysters this small should even be harvested. The restaurant was already out of one of the two varieties for the evening even though it was 640 pm. The waitress wasn’t overly friendly and attentive considering that every patron waits for a table an hour as there are no reservations for the outside seating. Our main courses arrived without the appetizer plates being removed. The main course plates were not hot and the portions were smaller than expected. I’m referencing the grouper and scallop dishes. The server presented me with the bill on a credit card machine and gave me three seconds to review it. No paper bill to review. I believe the tipping options presented were 20 , 22 and 25 %. I gave a 13% tip that I felt was generous considering our experience and the waitress proceeded to call me out on my tip in front of my family. To be honest I was feeling rushed and would have calculated a larger tip if it had been presented in a different fashion. I own a business of my own and know the challenges that a small business owner faces. I’m hoping the owner learns from our experience.

Waited 10 minutes after being seated, nobody came over so we left. Yes, I know everyone needs patience but two servers for the deck with 200 clients. Ridiculous. Went to Dockside, seated immediately and waited on within minutes. We are locals, your loss!

Awesome food, musical entertainment was great. The camp and restaurant is right on the marsh and there are about a half dozen friendly cats that roam the premise :)

Oysters are always available in season. Prepared anyway you want and some you might not have heard of.
Yes
Usually the gratuity is already added in the bill.
Between 4 and 5 usually during the week .
Everyone was wearing masks, tables were wiped down and tables were spaced apart. It was great!
GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿
I would call well in advance. If you don't mind sitting outside on the patio they are usually really good about getting you seated quickly. Great food and service.
Yes. You get a token, worth a buck off most drinks.
When we went there was a woman with a small dog. We were eating outside. It was for lunch
Park at broad creek marina along service pier after 515pm or along transient slips. Nate Jones is the marina manager and I ran the service pier for 4 seasons
They do have gluten free items
