Great outdoor range. People I’ve encountered are friendly and respectful. But I have gone there and found trash was left behind for someone else to pick up. Don’t ruin a good thing. Pick up whatever targets you’re shooting at when you’re done.

I have enjoyed using this range the last few years, but it has been over run by a couple panhandling for brass to scrap. Most ranges have a good vibe about them, with like minded people trading casings, swapping guns and telling stories, but we had panhandlers walking in front of muzzles trying to gather brass as soon as it exits the gun. It was rude, annoying and unsafe the last 3 outings for me and I had to stop shooting every couple shots to gather my shell casings before they got taken.

Great range, usually not that crowded, it’s $5 dollar fee per person, basically based on the honor system, so please make sure you are paying to use it. Bring your own targets and you can shoot anything, so long as you pick up your trash, most recently a local had taken his time to help clean up spent brass on the range keeping it clean. Props to you sir.

Best range in the area. About half the times Ive been there was less than 3 other people there

Do I pay $5 at entry to the gun range?
It is a quarter mile away from the Enoree District office and I have seen the Forest Rangers drive into the parking lot. I have also seen the local Sheriff's Department in the parking lot. But is there a regular law enforcement or adminstrative presence there during operational hours? No there absolutely is not. Just the shooters.
It’s a 100yard range
No only the firing table and bench.
Same here! But im thinking on going during the week, i will let you know here.
I'm not sure but probably on monday.
There is a sign on the gate they are closed due to the government shut down
There is nothing but the yard and the tables. Yes you need to bring the stands also.
Not sure. If i had to guess, i think that it is open. The Belfast range is a similar operation, and I was there last weekend and didn't see any signs saying they were going to be closed. If you go to the Indian Creek range and they are closed, I would highly recommend checking out that range. Its only about 25-30 minutes away from Indian Creek.
Yes, pistols are allowed. There are not separate ranges for pistols and rifles if that's what you are looking for.
