Unfortunately, this was a terrible experience. I called with a Groupon for $120.00/ night. The person I spoke with, Dan, said that they could not honer this because it was a weekend and during a busy time. I understood this, no problem. Then I asked if they had a military discount and he replied yes. Continued to tell me that my rates would go from $180.00/night (plus tax) to $150.00/ night (plus tax). We agreed, I booked the room for July 23 & 24, 2022. We arrived, our stay was basic. When I go to check out, Lori (or Laurie - not sure of her spelling), the Manager, was assisting me. I asked her why they changed the rate from when it was booked and she said that was the rate that was entered. She said that there was nothing that she could do at that time, she was going to have a conversation with Dan and would call me with an update. A full week goes by and I receive no phone call. I finally call on the following Sunday, speak with another person, whose name I did not catch. She said that they are short staffed, etc. and I told her I understood the situation. She took down my info and said that someone would get back to me ASAP. Monday, I receive a phone call from Lori, the Manager. She said that she talked to Dan and he does not remember that conversation and there was absolutely nothing they could do. She was not apologetic, not customer service focused, said that because Dan did not remember the conversation and that even with a military discount, $150 would not be the amount, as if I pulled that amount out of thin air. I was extremely disappointed in the lack of care we received and feeling as though we were making up a story. We will never give our business to this establishment or any other AmericInn/Wyndham.

We went to the beach and stayed the night. Price rounds to almost $200 but she said that's what they pay there in the summer. We had fun.

We stayed here while visiting family. Our room was fine, the pool / hot tub / sauna were great for the kids (we had the whole place to ourselves). Hot breakfast in the morning was a nice touch, the staff serving the meal were very friendly. I wish I had known we would be charged for a roll-away bed but to be fair I didn't ask when I requested it.

Four months after I made a reservation for September 2022 via booking.com, the hotel arbitrarily decided that they have a two night minimum for that weekend. Further they are sold out the night before, which basically means that I have to pay for two nights even if I have no need for it. Their own website is silent on this as well. At this point all other hotels in door county are basically booked. Very shady.
