All the food was good except my oysters. I paid $3.50/oyster for local NC oysters and then when my entree was served first was told it was because the shucker was behind with oyster orders . All good! But when I got my oysters they weren’t attached and obviously just put on an oyster shell. Come on, at least be honest about it. I’d be ok with that.

We live here in Charleston and we’re celebrating our 29th wedding Anniversary! We always have had consistently good food, amazing service and knowledge staff at the Oyster House so we decided to go for our Anniversary dinner tonight. Wow! They never disappoint. The friendly greeting as we walked into the O’bar to the knowledgeable oyster shucker, the sweet bartender to the most caring and friendly server. The service, and food is always top notch here. We got oysters on the half shell recommended by the shucker, hush puppies, shrimp and grits and filet mignon. Everything was outstanding. I highly recommend this restaurant. The outdoor porch is beautiful as well. The entire restaurant has an amazing atmosphere! Can’t wait for our next visit. Enjoy 😊

Pretty good food and environment- however- I felt it was a little pricy for the area but overall it was good! Pictured below is Bloody Mary and oyster Fried platter- fried oyster, fried shrimp and fried snapper.

Located at the Market in Downtown Charleston. Street parking, nearby parking garage or paid lot parking are the only options.
Yes
This is from the raw bar but they have options for Steam Pots and Seafood towers. Some dishes come with oysters but other food as well, like shrimp and snow crab
When I went it wasn't crowded. Waiters sanitize their hands, and all wore mask. All parties were seated more than 6ft apart
You'll need to get in touch with the restaurant directly
Yeap, should be good. We've had groups of 15 or so. Call ahead, though.
The building housed some restaurants for at least last 37 years. The previous restaurant A. W. Shucks was bought last year by the owners of the Charleston Crab House, remodeled and renamed
There is a free parking garage across from the entrance and a row of parking spaces behind the building on Central ave.
