I can’t believe that I cannot go up with my mother who recently had a stroke and suffers with acute memory loss and physical weakness. Her answers are not reliable and she may not speak up when she is exhausted. How do I know she was protected? If this Covid thing is such a problem you should be cleaning the chairs in the lobby. I’m afraid to sit. Confused patients have a right to have their only daughter and caregiver with them. Screen me , I wear my PPE consistently. Help me to understand.

I went to Cone Hospital Emergency on August 12, 2019. Be very careful.....i was put in a hospital room after being seen in the emergency room. I was assuming that since I had very good insurance with Blue Cross- Blue Shield and Medicare this admittance to the hospital would be paid for as usual by these 2 sources. However because the cardiologist said I was only for observation, unknown to me ,since I was treated with I.v. lasix, and was put into a hospital room. I was CHARGED for this stay. Lesson.....make very certain when you are pit in a room at Cone Hospital you are not classified as observation.
