I need the local phone number for the Gate City VDMV? Please someone help me.

Usually the employee who sold the car to you should had called the dmv and had you all set up. But if didn't you will need the title of the vehicle and address of where you live. Then they get your plates and registration paper to you.

You will need to take the death certificate and your stuff down there but they are only taking apt. At gate city one but Abingdon does it every day. And if he willed it to you just make sure you have all your ducks in a row

I was told that they're requesting appointments on everyone. There's a lady that will ask your name before she even let's you into the second door of the DMV. Therefore I would say yes just to be sure.

Yes. You will need to make an appointment. You can make an appointment online. Its fast and easy. Dont expect to get an appointment anytime soon. My appointment was 3 weeks out. Everybody is doing the best they can with the circumstances. I guess we should just be happy they are open.

Yes. The Gate City branch has some of the nicest people I have dealt with in the DMV. That has been a lot.

No I don't think they close for lunch...it says that they are open 9:00 am to 5:00 pm...

DMV used to put S.S. ,# on DL and ID's but with all the identification theft they have stopped it...you may be able to call and ask them if they would do it if it's under certain circumstances..

Unfortunately no. You must be eligible in all states in order to obtain a VA license

Gate City office is not open on Saturdays. The Abingdon and Norton offices are open until 12 on Saturdays, and will not start any testing after 11:30
