As someone w chronic health stuff, I go the this hospital frequently for tests. I went several years for infusions and today I had a CT scan. I have bloodwork done regularly at the lab. As far back as the 80s I spent 6 weeks there one summer and I was taken there once w a brain hemorrhage. I have NEVER had a bad experience with this little hospital and Abbeville is lucky to have it. They transported me when needed, but stabilized me first… which was life saving. This morning I was in and out in no time. Checkout was easy breezy. She had my chart out waiting for me when I arrived.The tech was so sweet, but very thorough, asking all the right questions to obtain patient history. I do have issues w the billing system. It is “ farmed out” to an independent company and not easy to get to the right person to help w insurance issues. However, I’m happy to give AAMC 5 stars!!!! The people there are fabulous!!!

I was referred here for Imaging for appendicitis from an urgent care. The scheduling department refused to do the test without a prior authorization. They refused to file a prior authorization and told me if my appendix ruptures come into the ER and it will be covered. this is not how insurance nor hospitals are supposed to work in a possible life or death situation.as of several days later, this is has not been resolved even by calling the number I was told to call on this review.

I went into the emergency room with lower pelvic and upper abdominal pain. I just thought I had really bad gas but that wasn’t the case. Dr. Tinsley explored all areas and even asked the right questions. He scheduled a follow up ultrasound the next day. Just so happens the Radiologist asked all the right questions which took the ultrasound a step further. A step that saved my life. From the night I checked in through the follow up, the staff was very attentive and swift. I NEVER felt this level of care from any medical facility. Whatever direction the medical field is heading in it needs more staff members that pay attention to detail because they save lives.

Very caring staff , the wait time was 1/4 of Anderson, Dr really went out of his way to make me as comfortable as possible considering the pain I was in.., called house in few days to check up ..highly recommend this hospital!
