Such a cute and very clean Inn. Great location to explore up and down the Lake Michigan shoreline. Clean, very quick and easy breakfast. and evening fresh baked cookies. Allen and the other Inn employees went above and beyond! We will return and do recommend!

Positive: The Jacuzzi in the room was the best feature, but the corner balcony and dual shower heads was a close second. Every staff member my sweetheart and I encountered was friendly and accommodating. Everything was SO clean! We would definitely return :) Negative: The bed, pillows, and bed linens were pretty awful. Sheets felt like sand paper and the pillows were the the limpest and floppiest I've ever experienced. Seriously due for an upgrade, for sure.

I went here once in the past and enjoyed it. While I was there, I mentioned to the staff at the front desk that I had a service animal that I had to leave behind, and they told me that he would be welcome in the future. My medical conditions have deteriorated to the point he must be with me to alert at all times. Fast forward to November. I reach out to the hotel to check again that my service animal would be okay to visit with me, they said yes so I went ahead and booked a stay. Fast forward to last Thursday evening. I called again before my stay starting Sunday to verify that my professionally trained, papered by both their veterinarian and my doctor completely ADA compliant animal would be okay and they told me that he was not welcome. I therefore had to cancel my reservation. I have been looking forward to this for months and the entire reason why I picked this place was because my animal would be okay. Denying him come with me when he does serve a medical purpose is illegal. My vacation that I had been looking forward to for 5 months was ruined, and now Groupon is refusing to refund the stay claiming it was redeemed when I never went. Everything about this experience this time around has been extremely upsetting and frustrating. This place is not ADA compliant or friendly for disabled people. I'm very disappointed and do not recommend. Edit to add: it absolutely was The Weathervane Inn in Montague Michigan. My service animal is a cat due to a severe dog allergy. I was told my cat was not welcome.

Honestly, it was awful. The only reason this is not a one star review is because the front desk guy was nice and the room was clean, at least. Other than that, there is nothing good to say. This place has the absolute worst soundproofing in the world. You can hear every single Jacuzzi while the water is filling up and then when the keys are in use. Quiet hours are NOT OBSERVED and people will use their jacuzzi all the way until 5 am. Oh, and you better pray to whatever God you believe in that you don't get a room on the first floor. You can hear every single guest come up and down the stairs, checking out, and eating breakfast. Who knows? Maybe you'll even get as lucky as me and get the room next to the laundry room where they wash and dry at 3 am and you get to hear the whole show. Do not come here if you want to sleep.
