I have been told by multiple Lowes employees that I can return any item I purchased in store or online to any Lowes store. I bought an item earlier this week at another Lowes location and tried to return the item to this location as Maple Grove is my local store. I was told they can’t take the item because they don’t sell it at their store. I have had this same situation occur in the past at this store and they have always taken the item without question since they are all Lowes stores and it’s a Lowes item. Did the return policy change or something recently? I now have to go out of my way to bring this item to the location I purchased it at which is far away. All the other stores I shop at accept any item even if they don’t carry it at their store because it still is an item purchased from the same company. It doesn’t make sense and I think the return desk staff at Maple Grove needs to be retrained by management if they are giving out false information to customers about this.

Terrible installation service. Find better independent installers to contract with. Purchased a dishwasher on Labor Day weekend (which was its own disaster). First available install was three weeks out. Stayed home that day waiting for arrival but they never showed and never called. Called Lowe's next day and all they could do is say 'sorry nobody called' next available date is 2 1/2 weeks out. You would think they would expedite the install for us for their mistake, but nope. We paid a premium for installation and that's the service we get? Just buy local next time.
