The Rock Creek Nature Study Area is a great hidden loop trail in the forest. There is a creek which runs though the area with tall trees and lush scenery.

There was no one out here, just us. So that was actually really nice. And there was a small picnic area too. Overall the trail was an easy walk (less than a mile). However, it is in desperate need of maintenance, and the scenery was mostly dead trees. Make sure to follow posted signs to find your way there - Google maps gives incorrect directions. If you're nearby, go ahead and check it out. Otherwise, it's not really worth going out of your way for.
