Have been going there for 25+ years. I love it. Animals are treated with such care and everything is explained in detail. Would highly recommend.

Caring professional practice for animals. I personally find the staff and doctors go out if the way for the animals.

It's apparent when people really, truly care. Dr. Ray has a LOVE for the pets in his care. He LISTENS to your concerns and observations. He treats the pet's people like teammates in their care, sharing important information concisely and clearly, never rushed. The follow-up is treated as equally important as the preparation and the visit itself. There is NO doubt my pet is getting the best possible care they can get.

We have been taking our cats to SS Vet for well over 30 years. They have always taken excellent care of them all. They are a compassionate and professional group of caregivers and we are very grateful for all of their years of care.

Questions & Answers

is a trained radiologist available?

They do x-rays and stuff but not the more advanced imaging. For that, you would need to go to an animal hospital like the one in Deerfield.

I have a very sweet female lionhead bunny. She is about five months old now so it's getting close to time to spay her, but I need to know if the vet is good with exotics? Anybody??

I have to agree with Sher. But I don't know about exotics. I have been going to South St vets for decades. The doctors are very caring making sure our cat is comfortable. I know we are are receiving the best of care. I am sure if you call they will answer your question and get you both to the right place if they can't help you.

Have an ill cat about 6 or7 yrs old, been lethargic for about a week, not eating, ha ING trouble being ambulatory, shallow breathing. Do you take payments for care.

(FYI Asking q's here doesn't necessarily reach whatever business itself) You should call them for sure. South St is a really excellent vet office. I know they previously offered care credit, I don't personally know for sure if they still do. Good luck.
