The Rock Kommando eats here every time he passes through this lovely part of West Virginia! After a devastating fire last year, the owners have rebuilt Fat Patty's to keep on serving their delicious burgers. The interior isn't as warm and inviting as before, but I go there for the food, not the decor! The burgers are always cooked to your specifications, the staff invariably well mannered and helpful. Food tends to come out quickly, with hot food being hot, and cold stuff cold. We were a party of six and everything came out as ordered. I wasn't feeling up to a burger after 12 hours of driving, so I opted for the Chef's Salad with ranch. It was delicious; all the ingredients where perfect and the ranch spot on. If you're in the area I strongly urge you to give them a try, you won't be disappointed!

An excellent place to get a hamburger. Prices are very reasonable and offers various specialty hamburgers to satisfy most burger cravings. The atmosphere is a mixture of local bar and family friendly. The drinks are strong and a good variety of beer on tap. The sides are also good quality with the apple bacon cheese fries and sweet potatoe fries being particularly good. One of my local favorites when a good burger is a must.

Hoping for a nice lunch with my wife....We walked in the door, there were 2 people at the door, they didn't even acknowledge our presence. Finally, the woman (with a scowl on her face) said, "Just 2?" Never asked if we wanted a booth, or a table. She seated us at the very first booth & slapped some napkins & our menus down, no silverware.. We waited about 5 minutes & our server came, never introduced herself (no ray of sunshine). Took our drink order, no silverware. After another 5 minutes, she came with our drinks, no silverware. She disappeared again. After almost 10 minutes, she came back & took our order finally silverware!! Our food came. The first thing I noticed were the crispy onion rings on my order, I tried one & the onion on the inside was fried to a crisp. My wife's sweet potato fries were not done and very mushy on the inside. Our server checked on us and asked how was everything & we hadn't even taken the first bite of our burgers. She never checked back, except when she thought one of us flagged her down. The people at the entrance were not consistently there, & when they were, they just kind of stood around. We also observed one of the people at the entrance, had a stack of menus. He would clean one side & lay the clean side down on top of the dirty menu underneath while cleaning the other side. Kind of defeating the purpose. Just a bad experience all together. We will not be going back any time soon.

A friend recommended this place, glad we gave it a try. Very neat place, clean, friendly staff, and great food!! My wife had the raspberry popper burger and I had the lasso, WOW!! Both burgers were so tasty. Chips come with the burgers, but I opted for onion rings, which were good. My wife got fries instead of chips and they were great! We also got fried pickle fries for an appetizer, they were fantastic! Will definitely be back if I'm in the area, would love to try other types of burgers.
