If I could give the village a 0 I would. Initially our stay was great but once we decided to leave and end our lease everything changed. They took almost all of our security deposit despite the apartment being cleaned out and their maintenance worker responsible for the walkthrough quoting us that we would not be charged much at all other than minor cleaning fees. Also they charged us for water fees that we already paid. They made it clear that they value a quick buck over their reputation.

Nice apartment complex with great amenities. However, very important thing that all potential tenants should know is smoking is allowed in units. I don’t know if it was the previous tenant in my unit, or someone else in my building, but as soon as I moved in, I could smell cigarette smoke in my unit. I didn’t realize how prevalent the smell could be from a previous tenant/current tenant in another unit. I got several air fresheners, tried to air out the apartment, but nothing really worked. I’ve just moved out, and all of my belongings have a lingering smell of cigarette smoke. I had to wash ALL of my clothes (which took a few days) and will probably need to get my mattress and couch professionally cleaned as the smell still has not faded. (Which will be expensive) Even things like my clothes hangers, purse, shoes, and travel bags, have the scent too. It was embarrassing to go out, because my clothes always smelled like cigarettes. I really wish the admin would change this policy, because other than that this complex was a fantastic place to be. Again like I said, great amenities with a pool, gym, dog park/basketball court, and nice community.

We lived here from 2018-2019 in a third floor one bedroom that overlooked the Berlin Turnpike. Apartments were reasonably priced for the location and staff was also attentive to concerns. Like any place, we had problems with noise from Berlin Turnpike traffic (including street races and loud pedestrians), inconsiderate neighbors (pot smoking and yelling), lack of parking, and trespassing. We moved to Vernon where we found a better value. Parking isn't assigned and, for the 3-story buildings, availability assumes 1 car per apartment. If you get home after 8pm, you have to park your car several buildings away and walk, which was very frustrating.

From the management personnel to the maintenance staff, I have experienced nothing but positive responses! Overall, it's a great place to live.
