Where do I even start? We're natives of WNC. Our daughters moved and settled in Asheville, and now grandchildren:) So we were looking to downsize after 34 years from our mountain home in a nearby county and didn't want any responsibilities at this stage of our lives. Voila, Haven at Enka Lake! I called a year ago, spoke to Carrie, told her our plans to sell, she called in February with the perfect apartment home for us, ground floor (love after a 3 level house) a corner, near all the amenities. So May 15th the Brandt’s arrived , along with two dogs and we couldn’t be happier! Our former home was 3500 ft elevation with a creek running beside our house, it was important to get as close as possible to the woods and water. Haven at Enka Lake checked off every box for our wants and needs. Love the apartment, quality build, no paper thin walls and high ceilings keeps noise level low, saltwater pool, fitness center with area for children to entertain themselves while you’re working out, playground, grills, outdoor fireplace with seating, picnic tables, dog park,dog potty stations, beautiful clubhouse (I have yet to take advantage of), mail and delivery service is awesome. It's the perfect place for our 4 year old grandson to run off energy and meet other kiddos. We feel like we live at a resort, I’m retired from the travel industry, this was a plus! The best part about our move is the staff and community at Haven. The staff is friendly, experienced and professional, prompt in responding. Haven is quiet and I feel very safe walking dogs at any hour. Our neighbors are friendly folks from all walks of life and in different stages of their lives. I’m told we’re considered “longtimers” because we don’t plan on moving! . So big shout out to Carrie, Sarah, and Journey in the office , and Josh plus the other two in maintenance! Can’t say enough positive things about these apartments! We have loved our time living here! The apartments are beautiful, updated, quiet and private! The staff is very helpful, professional and go out of their way to assist you. The residents are very polite and friendly. It truly is a beautiful place to stay. Sarah went above and beyond helping us when we were moving out of state and couldn’t see our apartment until we arrived. She made us feel comfortable and we couldn’t be happier with our apartment!

Haven is a great place to live. The maintenance crew keeps the place nice and the management staff is always working hard to satisfy you. Sarah, Journey, and Kerry are caring and are always there to help! For an apartment complex, I really enjoy that I can still have privacy and the other residents are good people. It's not like other apartments I've witnessed where the residents are partying late or you can't sleep because your neighbors are constantly arguing. I realize peoples experiences vary. However, those incidents are rare here and there's a reason I choose this place.

My family and I had a great time at the Haven. The office staff and maintenance staff was great and would go above and beyond any requests we would have. It's a little steep in price but it's worth it for the location, low crime, and what you get in amenities. The playground could be fixed a little better, but nothing too bad. Parking is good, traffic is not bad, but there's no speed bumps so some cars fly through the complex. They do have valet trash. Which the company can be annoying if you don't have your trash perfectly in the container but they take it 99% of the time. And there is an on site trash compactor that you can use too. I never had issues with noise at all either. All in all I would love to move back here if my job moves me back.
