The staff are so friendly, fun, and professional. They kept me informed every step of the way and answered all my questions. I really chose an awesome team to perform my life changing surgery. I am truly grateful 😊

I can never speak to a person. My calls never get returned. My surgery is one week away and yet no one from surgery scheduling will call me.

This practice has been so accommodating and has helped me every step of my weightless journey. Very busy practice, i found that emailing or using the portal to comminate was very effective and much faster. Overall I very happy and would recommend to all my friends. I see Dr McDaniel for non surgical weight loss.

I have been trying for weeks to make a follow up appt via phone or client portal, but can’t even get a person on the phone. Their answering systems either drops the call or an “off site service” only Schedules new patients. I’ve emailed the office as well and they just respond with “call the office”. I tell them in email that I can’t through to a person on the phone and asked them to call me several times. Crickets.

Hi ShaWanna. Dr. Procter performs surgeries are either performed at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital or Northside Hospital (Atlanta campus as well).
Hi Ms. Clarkson, It would be best that you consult with one of the doctors to discuss your particular treatment plan. Please give our office a call to get the process started at 470-419-4380. We look forward to speaking with you.
When you start the program they will give you a book that includes different type of approved shakes as well and a tentative schedule to go by...they gove you everything you need to to be successful
Beltline Health is a family of surgical and non-surgical weight loss practices. We provide lifetime follow-up and support for ALL patients, surgical and non surgical including Lap-Band patients and those who have had surgery elsewhere. Please call our team at 470-419-4380 for specific information about how we can help. Stay healthy!
It is possible, but I would advise you call our office to make a one on one consultation with Dr. Procter to review your medical history and options. We look forward to hearing from you!
Thanks for reaching out! We’d love to meet with you to discuss your options.
Yes, we do. You may need a referral from your primary care doctor first. We would have to call your insurance as well to check your bariatric benefits/coverage.
Hello, Yes, that is correct. We collect a $30 reservation fee from all patients in order to book a consultation. This $30 reservation fee goes towards the actual cost of your consultation estimate as long as you show up to your appointment. Our office policy states that if you no show or late cancel (less than 24 business hours prior to your appointment), you are charged a $30 no show/late cancellation fee.
Hello, Each patient and case is different and dependent on each individual's medical history. We would love to discuss various options with you. Please call our office at your earliest convenience, and we would be happy to answer any questions you have. We look forward to speaking with you!
Yes! As every patient is unique, simply call our office and we will happily discuss your needs and how best we can help you.
Hi Colleen, Yes, there are several appointments and clearances you must obtain prior to being approved for surgery. Typically the program is anywhere from 3 to 6 months depending on your insurance. We can check your medical policy for you if you'd like. Give our office a call at 470-419-4380 and speak with our new patient intake coordinator. They will be able to assist you and answer any other questions you may have.
Hello Ms. Green, We offered the sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, and the duodenal switch for bariatric surgery options. If you would like any overview on the different procedures, I would like to direct you the "compare your options" page on our website. If you have any further questions or would like to get started in our program, please give us a call at 470-419-4380.
Hello, We would have to verify your coverage with your insurance company. If you call us to provide your demographic and insurance information, we would be more than happy to confirm this with your insurance coverage. We look forward to hearing from you.
Hello, Thank you for your question. Yes, we do see patients from other doctors. Please feel free to give our office a call to schedule a consultation.
Call them and set up an appointment. That's the best way. Best of luck on your journey to better health.
Hi Ms. Deidra! Our practice does offer revisions for patients that have had a gastric bypass. We can verify your insurance benefits to check for revision coverage as well. All options will be discussed at a consultation with our physicians.
Unfortunately, we do not accept medicaid. We would be happy to review our self pay program with you. Feel free to give us a call at your earliest convenience.
Hello, Just as Ms. Dean stated, many factors can determine this. Insurance company guidelines do require a minimum BMI of 35 with at least 1 co-morbid condition or a BMI of 40+ to qualify for surgery. We would love to answer any other questions you may have. Please feel free to give our office a call.
Mr. Sprayberry, Dr. Procter specializes in weight loss surgery and hernia repairs. Please visit our website for more information - www.beltlinebariatric.com
Hi Candace and thanks for your question. As you can see from our website, Dr. Procter performs the vertical sleeve gastrectomy, roux-en-Y gastric bypass, and duodenal switch as primary procedures. We also offer revisions to bariatric procedures and have a comprehensive medical weight loss clinic. From our vast experience with managing the disease of obesity for over a decade, very few patients actually have a clinical eating disorder. When this component is identified, patients must be cleared by a clinical psychologist prior to surgery to help ensure their success. Take care!
Dyquan, It depends on your insurance benefits. We do have self pay options as well. Please give our office a call to discuss.
Thanks Diana!
Ms. Harris, we would have to obtain a clearance from your cardiac doctor before considering surgery. Unfortunately, we do not accept medicaid. We do offer a self pay program. If you are interested in learning more, please give our office a call.
Hi Marvin, and thanks for reaching out. My own practice is to use mesh only on very rare occasions for hiatal hernia repairs. If I do feel that it is necessary, by rule, I will only use a mesh that will absorb and go away. Although there are many excellent surgeons who will routinely use a mesh for these types of repairs, my preference is to stay away from it if possible. Thanks again for your question!
Hi Tammy, and thanks for reaching out. We take out-of-state patients every week. Please let us know how we can help.
Hello Geraldine Yes My insurance did pay for my surgery. However, for the guidelines to qualify you will need to call your insurance company. Ask if they cover weight lost surgery and what are the qualities.
Absolutely!
If you previously had the bypass, you cannot convert to a sleeve. I would advise you to make an appointment with Dr. Procter to discuss possible revision options since you have had the bypass.
Hello Peggy! We have patients that are the same age as you. Please give our office a call and provider your insurance information. We will have to check your coverage/benefits. We look forward to speaking with you!
Hi! Unfortunately, our practice does not accept Medicaid / Peachstate insurance.
The insurances we accept are BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, United, Medicare, and Tricare. If you have one of these insurances, we would have to call your insurance to obtain your bariatric benefits coverage specific to your plan.
Every patient is different, so I highly suggest you consult with Dr. Procter one on one to see if you are eligible.
