Likely the death certificate, your social security card, possibly a picture ID, and you should be able to search the SSA website for the form to fill or just go to the office and they will it there

Not at all and it is surprisingly fast. I waited about 10 min to see a representative. It also only took a week for my card to be here. They say up to 10 days, but took mine a week. P.O. Box if at all possible. 😊

They are open to the public. You will be able to talk with a representative in person and they can make an appointment for you if it's something they can't help you with immediately.

They will give a print out of your number but your card co.es in 3 to 5 days
You're supposed to call the number on a sign outside the doors to schedule an in-person interview but nobody ever answers unless you call right at 9:00 in the morning.

You just go in and sign up for what you need. The wait isn't that bad in the afternoon in comparison to the mornings. They also have self serve computers.

Did you apply with the right application? At the Department or online. The process takes at least 3 weeks via mail.
Award, and yes. You must set up a MySSA.gov account and you can print award letters, set up and change direct deposit information and many other things.
You can also walk in, take a number and wait to be seen. They have a desk available where you can actually do your claim and assistance will be provided while you are completing the claim.
