The employees are happy to help answer questions and find ways to accommodate you and your family. Don't let your family members or pets run loose because security is taken very seriously here. The employees have a process that is safe and efficient. Sit back and watch how all the trailers, RV's, trucks, cars, and motorcycles get loaded backwards down the ramp. Everyone in the family can board the ship, but the driver must stay with the vehicle at all times.

Yes you can with construction on the tunnel from Whittier tunnel closure times happen in the late evening till early morning.

2.5 hours depending on if you arrive when the tunnel opens. Tunnel is open at the half hour.
After some research, it appears that the Ferry stops running for the season at the end of August. There ISN'T a September Ferry schedule.
