My mother in law is resting here. When she passed she left no money and had no funeral plans. The Hebrew Free Burial Society took care of everything in exchange for a very reasonable donation from us. The donation was less than a quarter of what a private funeral would have set us back. The service was basic but kosher and a minyan was provided for a modest fee. Overall the Society provides a valuable service to the Jewish community and the donations they require are tailored to the means of the families. Those that complain are insufferable tightwads.

My grandmother’s sister died on 3-25-1911 in the Triangle Fire. Many of the Jewish women who died were buried here by the Hebrew Free Burial Society We are very grateful for the care they receive. Merritt Weisinger Sparks, NV
