Stopped into the Gainesville Florida location while passing through and was blown away. You'll want a plate and fork for these cupcakes. AMAZING!!

Cannot get enough!! My suggestion is to go for Their original flavors instead than for a classic or common flavor like peanut butter, cookies and cream or red velvet. Key lime, lemon tart, apple, munch, strawberry...omg. They never disappoint!!! Best cupcakes in the US for sure

So today I went into Gigi’s because I was having a sweet tooth. I had recently found out they had vegan options, I was in the area this late morning and decided to pick me up a cupcake. When I walked in it is was very clean, and the cupcakes on display looked incredibly delicious. They only had three options, Strawberry, Vanilla (I think) and then Keylime Pie flavored, and what I was told with a coconut cream filling. I instinctively picked the Keylime Pie cupcake because I love something different packed with flavor in a small bite. I was super excited. I got into the car and before I pulled off I started eating the frosting. It was great! The flavor was amazing! Then I got down to the cupcake, and this is where I started to get a little disappointed. The cupcake was very dry, and I was eating the cupcake with a fork. Now understand when I say dry, it was dry enough to break one of the tines off of my fork. That and then there was no “Coconut Cream Filling” at all. Maybe the employee was new or mistaken one for the other, idk. I started back Ubering so I had no time to call or make my way back to the establishment after I got done driving for the day. It was not worth the $4 for a cupcake, at all. I’ve had plenty of vegan desserts/cupcakes from other vegan cafes here in town and I presumably thought I could add Gigi’s to my go to list for a sweet tooth stop, but it didn’t make it. NOTE that the flavor was incredible though. This is the reason for the 3 stars. Edit: and I meant to update a very long time ago. But the owner of the bakery reach out to me to make things right! So very grateful! I changed the ratings from 3 to 5 because she was amazing! Thank you so much!
