Staff are not only efficient, but kind. As a tourist, I stereotyped New Yorkers as mean and rude, but the staff at Bagels and Schmear totally changed my perspective and experience of New Yorkers. They gave a homeless guy who came in with only $1 one croissant and a cup of coffee. I really appreciate their kindness. Needless to say, their bagels are the best I’ve tasted in the city. You gotta try out their everything bagel!
