One of my neighbors has a rooster that starts crowing like clock work every morning at 6am.. I've tried calling animal control to no avail for the past 9 months..

We adopted our kitten from their and the staff is the hardest working ACO’s you will ever see. Thank you for all your hard work in protecting the animals who are helpless without your care.

THIS WAS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE AT BRIDGEPORT ANIMAL CONTROL, AND I WAS VERY IMPRESSED . FROM MY FIRST PHONE CALL TO MEETING THEM IN-PERSON, I COULD TELL THE STAFF IS VERY DEDICATED . I GOT TO MEET MY "ADOPTEE" WHO APPEARED TO BE WELL CARED FOR. BEFORE ADOPTING HIM, HE HAD TO HAVE ALL NECESSARY SHOTS AND SURGERY. MY BUNDLE OF JOY IS WITH ME NOW ,AND WE ARE BOTH VERY HAPPY! A SPECIAL "SHOUT OUT" TO SGT LYONS FOR ALL HER EFFORTS TO BRING ABOUT THIS "ADOPTION' AND FOR ALL SHE DOES FOR BRIDGEPORT ANIMAL CONTROL.

Let’s start by saying giving this location a one star is entirely too generous. I FOUND a dog and being the honest person/mother that I am I couldn’t help but to feel guilty for keeping the dog without knowing if it had an owner. I did the right thing and brought him to the Bridgeport Animal Shelter. HUGE mistake!!!! I was initially told within seven days I’ll be able to officially adopt the dog. I dropped the dog off on a Thursday and the girl upfront told me that the seven days wouldn’t officially start until the following Tuesday for whatever reason. As my 6 year old daughter started her countdown, on the 7th day (more than 7days) I called the location and they gave me a bogus excuse as to why we couldn’t pick him up. Every week for OVER a month there was a different excuse. I literally dreaded calling them. My 6yr old daughter was beyond disappointed. It completely broke my heart. I guess you really can’t relate unless you have children of your own... Weeks went by then they called me for a “meet and greet”.... Please keep in mind I found the dog... During the “meet and greet” the woman Jennifer stated at least THREE times, “It’s okay to have a change of hearts...” I got the vibe that she really didn’t want us to adopt him... As if I was checking on the dog for over a month for my health... The dog was completely different from when I originally dropped him off. He was miserable, dirty, scared, etc.! I literally followed all their protocols and it was almost like they didn’t want to give me the dog! I was more than qualified to adopt the dog! It was my first time adopting a dog from this shelter and not only would I never adopt here again, I would NEVER recommend anyone to adopt from their location as well. The majority of those ladies are miserable b****s and it’s sad.... Don’t get into this field if you don’t want the best for these pets PERIOD! Thank God after a little over 1 month we finally have the dog home and with love and the proper care he is a COMPLETELY different dog!! Save yourself a headache and don’t bother with this shelter.

Hi Yahaira Alicea! Could you find information about volunteering? Let me know please I like animals and I would like to volunteer too but I do not know how to do or where to go thank you very much and excuse me for asking you to have a good day! ... GOD BLESS YOU! ...
Julia, yes they need towels all the time for baths.. Thankyou for thinking if the furbabies
Blue Red they have to have proven that is not only they said it and is like that, when someone say that they have to prove that that is a serious accusation, if they found prove of that send it to me as soon as possible thanks
They have so many amazing pits there go check them out they do do house checks though to make sure they get into the right home
No, no birds
I have a small toy Maltese all white if you would like trying to find him a special home
I have a Maltese if you would like his name is max
No there don't take cats try Stratford animal control
I think so
Do you still have any kittens? I’m looking for one or two.
Either one is fine but in person with a parent would be better!!
Yes they do take great care of all the animals!!!
The animal shelter might take him just explain your situation!☺
If you want to adopt,,, you'll need to show either proof of home ownership or landlords permission for having pets. In addition,,, for my dog I put up $80. for vet fees which is more than reasonable for all it covers. Best bet would be to call or visit the shelter to get the answers you need!
Call them.... Not sure?
I'm sure they do use volunteers... Dog Walkers,, I know they have them,,, give them a call!
$75, however we adopted our fur baby during a free adoption weekend that was funded by an organization. Just love our newest addition. They are absolutely wonderful there at Bridgeport Animal Shelter!!
$50, just adopted my kitten and that's what I paid
I have no idea if they will help with that... Obviously you can call & ask directly. They helped me with adopting my rescue Roscoe,,, that adoption process was fairly smooth,,, & I can give you info on that,,, but that's about it!!
Well,,, not sure if there's a price Difference when adopting a puppy or full grown dog... But you will have to pay for initial Vet visit for required shots & spay/neuter! It was $75. when I adopted Roscoe .... My Mini-Pin!!!
Their services are first come first serve. They can't hold dogs.
How do I go about adopting an male Pomeranian about 3 to 5 yes old for free I hope
They do on their facebook page and pet finder. Take a look before you make comments !
Yes the shelter is in the same place and I do recommend to call them tomorrow morning, they open at 10am. And they can give you more details before anything, they do need help in the shelter.
You could drop it off the dog at Bridgeport dog shelter. They will actually help you,
