I just had foot surgery on Feb. 1 ,2022. My genetic bunion was severe and required more than just a lapiplasty. But I am so thrilled, that here I am, posting my review just 3 days post op. Dr Lucius is a registered Center of Excellence for the Lapiplasty procedure. He was thorough and clear in his explanations; he really listened to and addressed my concerns , he answered all of questions and he did a great job! I did have Lapiplasty, bunionectomy and repair of a 2nd toe dislocation due to the severity of my genetic, bunion. Recovery though early, has been fine and I will I add more information to this review as I continue. Why did I wait so long to have the surgery...... I've seen many other podiatrists over the last 15-20 years but, having surgical experience, I did not want the recommended, traditional procedure. Then I discovered Lapiplasty and found Dr. Damien Lucius.... This was game changing! Thank you Dr. Lucius!

I had lapiplasty surgery yesterday with Dr. Lucius. He went over the surgical plan with me on my pre op. visit. He answered all my questions,, so we didn't have any surprises. The surgery went as planned and the pain management is manageable with Tylenol and minimal stronger meds. If you ever need lapiplasty surgery, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Dr. Lucius, he's a very skilled and competent doctor.

***IMPORTANT UPDATE*** MILFORD PODIATRY 100% RECTIFIED THE SITUATION. After I posted the original 1 star review, apparently Dr. Lucius saw it and immediately had the office manager reach out to me. When I gave a call back she was genuinely concerned and asked what happened. When I explained the situation (below) she was truly upset, and explain Dr. Lucius was upset as well. She sincerely apologized. She didn't try coming up with excuses, shift blame or do the shoulda/could a/wouldas. She just simply apologized. I can't tell you how much I appreciate that. I'm a manager in the service industry, and we aren't perfect 💯 of the time. Stuff happens. We are all human. It just happened to be me that fell through the cracks. Not only did she sincerely apologize, but they also gave me a full refund for $450 for my orthotics that weren't right. They more than rectified the situation. So even though I fell through the cracks, they went above and beyond to make it right. That's the kind of business I want to support. Someone that stands behind their services, treats there customers with respect, and doesn't take them for granted. I will be returning for services in the future because of how well they handled this situation. (Plus I highly doubt they would let this happen to me again lol 😋) So thank you to everyone at Milford Podiatry! I really appreciate everything you did! ***Original situation*** I had custom orthotics made from Milford Podiatry ($450) In december of 2019 (I did order a week or so before Christmas and was told it may take longer due to holidays- that's fine, I understand, no prob.) But I didn't receive them until end February. After waiting all that time, I put them on and instantly knew they weren't made right for me, and explained what was wrong. I was told to give them 2 weeks...they are new, you may just need time to adjust to them, etc. I gave them 1 week, still not right, not getting any better and booked an appt. for the following week. The day of the appointment to explain I wasn't happy with them and show him what's wrong (my knees were turning in worse than before, and there wasn't enough arch support. My knees even started making loud noises when going up and down stairs) he seemed very preoccupied and wasn't even really listening. He explained after he was needed to run out the door (his daughter was sick, and had to pick her up from school, which I totality understand and sympathize with). He said he can either send these one back to be corrected and be without orthotics for 6+ weeks, or just order a new pair with the adjustments (another 450) and then once the new ones are received, send the originals out to get corrected. I cannot work without them. If I do more than a couple hours without wearing them, my back and hips will start to lock up, I'll get bad knee pains, and I become a hot mess...I can't go like that for 6 weeks+. So I agreed to order a new pair, while managing with the incorrect pair for now, and they would call me when they come in. So I waited 1 month, 2 months... I even waited another month hoping they would call when they came in, which they didn't. I realized during my last appointment that because his daughter was sick, and he was running out the door, he most likely forgot about me. Every time I walk into a doctor's office, it's an automatic $35 copay. Regardless of my issue being addressed, or getting the help I need. If you can't give me the undivided time during my scheduled appointment that I'm paying for, please reschedule me. Otherwise its another $35 out of my pocket for a redo. So since it was me paying another $35 copay regardless, I ended up just going to another podiatrist to look at the ones I was had issues with and see if they can make me another pair and correct the issues im having

Dr Lucius has completely changed my life. I had been battling a bone infection for over 3 yrs. Coming close to death one time and 3 surgeries and 3 straight months in Tufts hospital and several other hospital stays. But one visit from Dr Lucius and he completely cured my problem with one surgery. He has given me my life back. I could never thank him enough.
