It is not required by our office to have a physician referral. Although, many insurance plans require a Primary Care Physician referral in order to be seen by a specialist. It is the patient's responsibility to ensure that your PCP provides us with a referral number prior to the visit.
We offer next day appointments and gladly schedule same-day appointments as our schedule allows. Give us a call at (615) 332-0330 to get the next availability!
We do treat bunions! Depending on the severity of your bunion pain and development, there are conservative and surgical treatment options. At Advanced Foot & Ankle our podiatrists always look to conservative treatment options first. The sooner the ailment is identified the better chance you have of preventing surgery. To learn more about options to treat bunion pain (including minimally invasive surgical options), schedule an appointment with AFACC!
Absolutely! Treatments for children and infants can vary from rest to surgery. At Advanced Foot & Ankle we always look to conservative treatment options first – especially with children. If your child seems to be suffering from pain in their foot or a foot abnormality, schedule an appointment with one of our podiatrists today!
Yes! Foot wounds and ulcers are not the same, but symptoms and treatments can be similar. A wound is defined as damaged skin and tissue layers, typically from an injury resulting in a cut or abrasion. If a chronic wound (wound that will not heal) begins growing deeper and deeper into the foot, it may become an ulcer. The podiatrists at Advanced Foot & Ankle are experienced and well-trained in wound and ulcer treatments.
We do! Our top priority when treating ingrown toenails is to provide the gentlest treatment resulting in the least amount of pain or discomfort for you.
Yes! Toenail fungal infections are often handled through oral or topical medications. Our podiatrists start with conservative options first, and only suggest surgery when absolutely necessary. Schedule an appointment with an Advanced Foot & Ankle podiatrist to see what treatment plan might be best for you.

Our podiatrists specialize in both conservative and surgical treatments for conditions of the foot and ankle. Many conditions that we see on a regular basis respond very well to conservative treatments, including: lower extremity-specialized physical therapy, bracing, cast immobilization, custom orthotics, and injection therapies.

We do! Diabetic neuropathy, or diabetic peripheral neuropathy, is nerve damage that occurs in the arms, hands, legs, and feet, and can lead to infection or possibly amputation when left untreated. Our podiatrists provide routine foot exams for diabetic patients to help detect the potential for a wound before it happens.
