One of the best restaurant seafood meals we've ever had. The food, staff, building ambience.....all top shelf!

My wife and I visited Chesapeake's downtown Knoxville for the first time. We had an awesome experience. We are both foodies, love to cook and owned a catering business years ago. First of all, when we walked in, we fell in love with the decor of the building. It has an "old time" quaint look. The exposed bricks is a big thing now and it looked beautiful. It looks classy and casual at the same time. The servers were amazing. The cocktails were perfect. We ordered baked oysters Rockefeller as an appetizer and they were delicious. My wife and I ordered the Maine lobster. They first brought the live lobster to our table to see if it was to our liking. When they brought the cooked lobster, the server cracked it and arranged the meat beautifully around the shell. The meat was tender and juicy. The sides were also very good. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience. It is a place where you can spend 2-3 hours dining and enjoying good company. Overlook the negative reviews and give it a try!

Awesome atmosphere and even better food. I started with the crab fingers, which were a special, at my server Shannon’s recommendation. They were prepared perfectly and were so tender I couldn’t eat them fast enough. I then ordered the surf n turf which was a 7 oz filet and 5 oz lobster tail. The lobster was prepared perfectly. It was piping hot, tender, and full of that fresh ocean taste. The filet was cooked magnificently to a medium rare with perfect grill marks on the outside, and seasoned perfectly. The food here is absolutely dynamite and the atmosphere is cozy. Service was top notch as well. Will def be back.

Downtown Chesapeake's has parking, and if full, there is a public parking garage right across Locust Street.
Best to call the restaurant to be certain but I think they do
Not sure if they do . I would call and speak with a manager
They have steamed oysters sometimes but not always. Entrees are generally in the $20 to $30 range unless you get steak or lobster. Baked Oysters Chesapeake are excellent. My husband gets the Fried Seafood Platter. That's the only platter and you can get is broiled or fried. Love their food, personally.
Yes
Either place can. You will definitely have more parking at the west Knox location. Can't go wrong at either location as far as the food goes.
There are actually only 2 locations. The original downtown and a new one on Parkside. They are owned by the Copper Cellar group which owns several Calhoun's, Smokey Mountain Brewery, Cappuchino's, Copper Cellar's.... All good places to eat and drink.
