Dover Railtrail Parking

Walked from the Watson Rd parking area all the way to Fourth St and back. I found this to be a very pleasant walk in both directions (about 5.3 miles round trip). Nice views of the Cocheco along the segment between Whittier St and Fourth St. If you're on a bike, just be aware that when the trail goes under Rt 16, the descent from the Watson Rd side to the underpass is very sandy/rocky, so be careful! Also, there's no clear crossing at Whittier St, which would be a very good improvement that Dover could make. On the whole, very pleasant with some minor room for improvement.

Kind of small area. Not paved but in good condition. Google Maps will talk you to the correct location. Trail is not paved.

Nice and easy walk through beautiful forest and river scenery. Flat profile, no special shoes needed (sneakers are just fine). A nice waterfalls than a minute of the main path (this part is more steep and slippery).
