I’ve ordered from the Sugar bakery over 15 times within the last three years for different events/celebrations and holidays. However this is now the second time I’ve placed an order and mistakes were made that the establishment wouldn’t apologize or own up to. For a cream/off white cake they used a unflattering and tacky bright turquoise blue/green to write the birthday message ON TOP of the cake. Normally it is written on a little plaque and placed in front of the cake. I know since Covid they no longer do custom designs so how you see the cake online is how it will be. However, when placing the order I was never informed that if you don’t choose a color it’s up to the discretion of the designers. (Some discretion they have to think those two colors would compliment each other). In the past when I’ve ordered cakes and didn’t specify what color the message is to be written, I was told the standard is chocolate. So why wasn’t I notified this at the time of my order? Instead the sugar bakery denied to fix the problem and then tried to manipulate and gaslight me by saying I should’ve have known or asked. When I was told differently when ordering and customs designs are not available to change things. Very disappointed in them, now we have a very ugly and tacky cake and not even a sorry from them.

I am happy to answer your questions regarding our Covid safety guidelines. We have an entrance door as well as an exit door. They are in completely separate areas of the bakery so you do not have to pass other guests in close range. We also have social distance foot markings on the floor and we’ve installed plexiglass in between customer service representative and patrons. Masks are required. There is hand sanitizer at the register. We also updated our website to feature online ordering. If you choose to place your order online, you can pick up your order at our brand new service window locate d at the front of the bakery. This option allows you to pick up your order without ever having to enter the bakery. You can also view our covid safety features on our Instagram highlights. I hope this was helpful. Thanks again!

We sure do! We offer 5 to 6 flavors daily. You can hand select your assortment upon walk-in purchase or visit our website to pre-order. Our website’s cupcake menu lists pictures and descriptions of all cupcake flavors available daily. Thank you so much!

The baker just commmented above that they do NOT have sugar free cupcakes. However , their cupcakes are to DIE FOR!!! AND I DON'T EVEN LIKE CAKE!!! There's something for every taste bud. Trust me , you won't regret a single bite!!!!

Hi Alice, We will gladly accept a special order for 10 specific flavors featured on our website's monthly Cupcake Menu. The truck carries about 20 flavors but if you are hoping to select the flavors from our full menu which features 40 flavors, your next step would be to call the bakery to place that order. The order would have to be paid for in advance and we would then send it on the truck for you to pick up at Clinton Crossings on Sunday.
