Dr. Dott has been my family doctor since 2006. I trust his clinical judgment without question. He has run one or more walk-in practices in Irving for almost 20 years, and he has undoubtedly seen it all. One of the best things about the Irving Health & Medical Center is the fact that it's a walk-in clinic. You do not need an appointment to be seen. If you need same-day care, THIS is your go-to place. You won't leave Dr. Dott's office confused. He will explain things from A to Z. He's compassionate, diplomatic, understanding, TRUSTWORTHY, and you will get straightforward answers. Clinically, he is sharp and on his "A" game, but he also has a sense of humor that complements his overall positive demeanor. I obviously enjoy my visits with Dr. Dott, regardless of the health issues that prompt me to visit. As a DO, Dr. Dott is also a master in manual medical manipulation. I ALWAYS ask Dr. Dott to adjust my back on every visit. I walk out feeling like a new person. Can't recommend his adjustments enough. His fellow clinicians, medical assistants, and office staff are intuitive and experienced to the point of practical clairvoyance. This team is on-the-ball. They're tough and compassionate, and as long as I have known them they've been consummate professionals. You won't be disappointed. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - (Summer 2022 update: I wanted to add an addendum to my original review that addresses remarks posted in this space by the "less-than-delighted." When you, or a loved one, feel(s) sick, you're in a hurry, or you get an answer you don't like—it can be very stressful. Sometimes this stress comes out in disrespectful, impatient, angry—and even violent—ways. And sometimes places like hospital emergency rooms or behavioral health care facilities employ staff who tolerate this behavior. Irving Health & Medical does not. The instantly-offended are ubiquitous. In contrast, professionals who assume you are, and respect you as, an adult are in short supply. The staff of Irving Health & Medical fall into the latter class. Those in the former? I suspect the 1-star reviews originate there. This team provides care—and they do it well. This is not a team trying to please bean-counting "health administrators," nor sweating to boost Press-Ganey scores. If you become uncivil, threatening, or are unable to control your behavior, it will not be tolerated. This can be unnerving to those accustomed to appeasement for behavior unbecoming of an adult, but I applaud Irving Health & Medical's staff for this, and I hope more healthcare enterprises adopt their stance. My apologies for the long-windedness.)

Never been a patient here, but based on the woman that answered the phone and how rude she was I don't think I want to be a patient. She was absolutely unwilling to help in any way. I was so frustrated that I just said goodbye. Why do people feel like they can be so damn rude?

I've been using this place since they were on Beltline. For reference that's closing in on 2 decades. This clinic is where I've always gone when I didn't have a PCP or my PCP can't see me in a timely fashion. They specialize in walk ins. I've never seen the staff be rude. I've seen plenty of unreasonable people throwing fits in their lobby. I've been on the receiving end of one of those tantrum throwing customers. They claimed they were there before me. They weren't. There was a line so I knew I had to wait. I went over to MetroPCS to take care of an issue real quick. They arrived while I was gone.
