I upgraded a bathroom and needed a replacement mirror (about 4 x 7 feet) with receptacle cutout, so I called around to various businesses that sell glass (assuming they also sold mirrors). NEGM was one of only two in the area that not only cut the glass on premises (the others ordered the mirror, which struck me as something a company would only do if they weren't really in the business of selling custom glass), but would also deliver (what normal person has the means to transport vertically such a large piece of glass?). Also, their lead time was short compared to the others - a few days vs. a few weeks (again, because they cut it in house they can respond quicker). I called up, forwarded a schematic of the cutout location via email, got the final price, and paid the deposit (half) over the phone with an agreement that they'd call me the following week to coordinate delivery. Sure enough the following week Mollie called me back and setup a delivery for the following day, and also said that the delivery fee went down by $25 (who wouldn't welcome that?). Today the 2 gentlemen arrived *exactly* on time. To my surprise they also brought a couple tubes of adhesive (apparently if you use common construction adhesive it tarnishes the mirror backing over time leaving spots - not good!) as well as mirrored receptacle plates and screws/clips for the top of the mirror - I didn't expect any of this at all! To top it off, they had no problem bringing the mirror upstairs (most places' "delivery" involves carrying things into a garage and setting them down) *and* they took away the old mirror which I had in my garage (saved me from having to bust it into shards and toss it out). I have yet to actually mount the glass for fit, but it looked fine on delivery and if I have any issues I will update this review - but so far this company has outperformed and will be my *go to* whenever I need glass/mirror work in the future!

If you need to fix a window because the neighborhood kids busted yours out, this is the place to get the glass.

My experience with NE Glass & Mirror was nothing short of perfect. I had a small job (repair 2 broken double-pane windows) but they treated me as a valued and important customer. Before finding them, I'd called the window installer and they only wanted to replace my windows which would have costs a fortune. NE Glass was very helpful. Every person I came in contact with was kind and professional. My windows look fantastic and I couldn't be happier! (I don't mind if you use my review on your website)

The women that work in this office have been very rude to me on numerous occasions I'm so glad I don't go here anymore

No. Feel free to walk in whenever you are able to. Our business hours are 7:30am – 4:00pm, Monday through Friday. Please keep in mind that you may have to wait a few minutes if we are currently already working with a customer.
We have a couple options if you have a window that always seems to get broken. Some options such as Plexi or Lexan work very well, especially for storm windows. We also have some other options ranging from tempered, laminated, and hurricane resistant glass.
At NEGM we carry pet screen which is very durable. Many of us here have it in our own homes! If the extra durability is not needed, we do also carry standard fiberglass and aluminum screen.
The best thing to do is to first give us a call and explain to us what you would like done. Depending on the time of year we can be very busy with contract work. Availability considered, the next step would be to speak to one of our estimators who can put a comprehensive quote together for you.
Unfortunately, at this time we do not work on automobiles.
Absolutely! By either calling in or walking into our location in the Industrial Park we can inform you of all the options we have for building you a custom mirror as well as the best installation methods. All you need is the dimensions of the mirror and we can help with the rest! Some things to consider when inquiring about a new mirror: Do you want polished or seamed edges? Polished edges are best suited for mirrors that will not have a frame. Do you want a bevel and how thick do you want it to be? Where is the mirror being placed and on what type of surface? Would you like a standard clear mirror or possibly something with a different color finish or pattern?
Yes! There are two ways for us to go about fixing your window. The easiest way is to have you bring the window into us so that we can properly measure for the new unit. Typical wait time for the new unit is about 2 weeks. We understand that 2 weeks is a long time to go without a window, so if the old unit is still viable you are free to take it back home with you until the new one comes in. Once the new unit comes in we would set an appointment to install it back into the frame, in which case you would bring it back to us and the appointment would take about 20 minutes. The second option is to measure for the new unit yourself. We would need the width and height of the unit, the thickness from outside glass to outside glass, and the thickness of each pane. Once you have those measurements you can give us a call and we can get it ordered for you. Please be advised that we are not responsible if the unit does not fit your existing frame when ordering a new unit using this method.

Hi Susan, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately, we are no longer able to do this repair. We have discontinued our residential service line with the exception of showers. If it helps, we have a list of local glass companies on our website that may be able to assist you!
