How to get there buy train

Depends on where you live, the 2/5 train to Simpson St. or 6 train to Hunts Point Ave., then take the 5 bus to get to the Monroe Projects between Story Ave. & Taylor Ave. Should be across from the Senor center where you can go to the Management Office. If you don't have the 2/5 or 6 trains near you, you can switch over to the 2/5 or 6 from the 4 Train, 1/3 Train (near 2 train), google it at a nearby Library on your personal devices (Phone, Computer, Tablet, etc.), near Free WiFi. Not lost of trains on Story. The Buses: the 5 Bus that turns towards Story Ave., White Plains Rd. and goes to Castle Hill, East Tremont. On White Plaints Rd. the 36 / 39 Bus, are on the corner of the 5 Bus. Q44 Bus or Bx12 Bus to Switch to 39 bus to walk up Story Ave. https://bustime.mta.info/m/index?q=Bx5&l=&t= (5 Bus Route). (Best Option, it leads you right across the street from Monroe Projects). http://web.mta.info/nyct/service/fiveline.htm (2/5 Train Routes) 149 Grand Concourse 4 train switch.

Are there any apartments available for a homeless person that has found a job?

Their are apartments available but the person would need to apply through NYCHA which is an arduous and slow moving process at best. An alternative approach would be applying to Section 8 rentals that ARE NOT NYCHA properties. Best of luck.
