I recently got discharged without my notice for apparently missing 2 appointments when I only missed one when I was on vacation. When I knew I had to reschedule said appointment I called and they didn’t relay a message to my therapist at all. Now I’m discharged for no reason and have no way of getting my medication and was told to find another center because they prioritize new intakes. Been coming here for almost 2 years and I’m in shock. The therapists and psychiatrists are the best this place is just very disorganized.

When this center turned over to new horizon … it started out bad. The Counselors I’ve had were the best, even my Psychiatrist was a sweetheart. But the billing department closed my case 3 times and tells me I have to wait to be evaluated to come back🤬🤬🤬 I had to ask my family doctor to prescribe me my psych meds because I started having really bad withdrawals. How can a center just close a case without realizing it’s dangerous for the patient to be without their meds. Very nasty… the billing dept keeps the people on welfare with Medicaid and throw out the ones who has insurance they pay for . Unbelievable

Please don't waste your time trying to get an appointment here. No professionalism at all. At first they took all my info and after learning I had recently been hospitalized the receptionist called me 3 times to have me or my pcp fax over the notes from my hospitalization. After having my PCP faxing the notes they rejected services claiming they are only serving Nassau community as of now. Mind you I live on the border of valleystream and elmont. Idk why take all the personal info of the patient if you aren't interested in giving services. This place deserve 0 stars
