Please take note that if u go to this facility and you are a female you are largely in the minority and treated as such. I was a patient there for 3 days trying to get help but they are short staffed so the meetings here are limited. You will spend most of the time watching TV which woman are only allowed priority to for 4 hrs a day. Some of the male patients can be aggressive and the staff does norhing to remedy the problem. I left because as a female I felt unsafe. You may think I'm writing this cause I did not want to stay clean but that is not true its been a week since I left and I am still sober and getting help. I just wanted to warn other females that may decide to go to this program to be aware of what they may be getting themselves into .

My niece was there. Supposed to be 5 days. She was admitted 3:30 pm Thursday and they were trying to discharge her 7 am Monday. Sure they are billing Medicaid for 5 days. All staff were really nice, except she had the laziest, most ill-informed counselor I’ve ever encountered (named Carla) - and I’ve been in the field for years. First she tells us that long term residential programs do not accept people directly from detox - patently false. I spoke to people at Phoenix House and Samaritan that I used to work with and they said they do - all the time, but they need a referral packet from the counselor. She refused. Instead she sent referral packet to a 28 day rehab with no backup plan. My niece asked to stay Monday until she could speak with counselor to ask for a backup referral, preferably 90 days. She refused and told my niece that 90 day programs don’t accept from detox. My niece then asked for a backup rehab referral in case she couldn’t get a bed from first one. Carla told her she was capable and could do it herself. We call two places and they tell us they need referral packet from detox. What are they paying this woman for?
