Can we please get the homeless out of the station. Oh and while your at it can you clean the needles on the floor. The photo isn’t of needles.

Located in dowtown Rutherford is this quaint New Jersey Transit station. Historically this station was orginally opened in 1833 and rebuilt in 1862 and 1897. Located on NJT's Bergen County and Port Jervis line. Eastbound trains terminate at Hoboken Terminal, but customers can transfer to a New York bound train at Secaucus Junction. Hoboken also provides connections to PATH and NY Waterway ferry service. Additionally, two NJ Transit bus lines have stops at or across the street from the station. These are the 190 bus to New York City/Paterson and the 76 bus to Newark Penn Station/Hackensack. The station is wheelchair accessible with tiny raised platform sections with ramps, on the South side of both platforms. The station has a waiting room with restrooms, but they are locked during the night.

There is no parking at Rutherford Station. It's a tiny station. There is a parking garage around the corner at 47 Kip ave in Rutherford
