Great campgrounds and facilities. The lake is awesome. Great fishing. The night sky was absolutely beautiful.

This is by far one of the nicest state parks i have ever been to! The beauty of the landscape was breathtaking. The little prarie dogs just melted your heart. The school house tour is superb and the adobe house tour is not to be missed!! The campgrounds are wonderful! And the tent sites i will admit, i was jealous of! I was in a camper and i wished i had brought my tent as their sites have more room between the others it was a dream come true! The restrooms were well kept and very nice as well. This will be a yearly trip now!

calming atmosphere. main issue was lack of open toilets - says they've been "winterized", but even the vault toilets were locked up. waterfront views were beautiful.

You would need to contact the Kansas State Park folks or at Prairie Dog Park for the information... You can also get the annual permit while you are there.... Enjoy and have fun....
Plenty of them. Don't worry about missing them, they are spotted in groups all around the park.
