Holiday Inn Express & Suites Houston IAH - Beltway 8, an IHG Hotel

This is a very good Holiday Inn Express location. I had a minor issue during check-in, but the staff remedied my issue immediately. The accommodations were very clean and comfortable, and I had a good night's rest. The complimentary breakfast was good, but had very little fruit and healthy choice food options. The road leading to the hotel had an extreme amount of potholes that were very large, so be very careful driving to the hotel. Overall, this was a good stay.

The hotel itself was nice and spacious. The issue started with seeing a huge waterbug/flying roach on the curtains of the window while I was at the desk working. I was completely startled and my mother was too. I called the front desk to come get it, which they did. We only had the room for 1 night so I do not know if there would have been more to see had we stayed longer. About an hour later, housekeeping decided to open our room door WITHOUT knocking and came right in. Of course after realizing someone was there they left but that is not the point. When checking out I brought up both issues to the front desk and was told "Sorry for the Inconvenience". I consider this more than an inconvenience. I will not be staying here again.

It was a good comfortable place. Though check in and check out desk is sort of unorderly. Breakfast was good. I was happy there was an ice machine there as well and a microwave in the room. The shower was awesome though. They had soap bottles in the room I stayed. Restroom was large and spacious as well. Beds were so comfty when I laid and relaxed then stretched my bones popped and I slightly tooted. Though they are white sheets so I recommend not eating food or drinking any colored drinks on the bed.

Great guest service staff. Good recommendation for local pizza pick-up. Our beds were super comfy. The room was clean and all toiletries were available. The room and the hotel breakfast seating need refreshing, Im sure with the close proximity to the airport they stay real busy. Breakfast was ready promptly at 6:30 which we appreciated! Food choices were the usual faire for Holiday Inn Express. We saw the pool being used, it looked very clean and welcoming...we just didn't have the time! Refresh the tired furniture and bedroom carpet and you've still a winner!
