Everyone is required to wear a mask and maintain social distance. Hand sanitizer is provided and a clear safety barrier is between customers and the cashier.
Our Holiday Book Sale will take place Nov 20 - 22 at Locust Grove. Stay tuned for details on it. Our store is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 -4. We are not advertising sales (to keep the crowd numbers down for social distancing) but we do have them. If you happen to visit right now, all fiction is on sale.

Please see guidelines below: We will accept: • Hardcover and paperback books in good condition*. • CDs, DVDs, LPs, and Audiobooks (on CD) in good condition. • Special collections (antiquarian, comics, etc…). Please contact us to discuss your collection. We will not accept: • *Damaged books with broken bindings, missing pages, soiled, musty, moldy, with fire smoke, cigarette smoke, water damage, highlighted, underlined or with writing in the text. • Magazines/Journals • Condensed books (Reader’s Digest, etc…) • Encyclopedias • Cassettes, VHS tapes • Outdated Travel Guides, Computer Manuals or Textbooks Your donations must be in good enough condition for others to want to buy them! Where do I go to donate my books and media? Monday – Friday from 10 AM – 12 PM at the Book Store’s donation door located on the side of the store. Saturday from 10 AM – 12 PM donations may be brought to the Adriance Memorial Library (93 Market Street, Poughkeepsie)
Are you talking about the library or the book store? These are two different entities. Im not sure about library matters, but the bookstore receives books Monday thru Friday 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The bookstore will take small book (1 or cartons) donations from noon until 4:00 PM. Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Saturdays
