After 25 years of chronic back pain with no relief. At least a dozen Doctors and many many injections with no relief I was referred to Dr. Macanally. I really thought that i would be in pain for the rest of my life. I'm so happy to say that I am completely and totally out of pain for the first time in 25+ years. 😮 Dr. Macanally took time to figure out exactly where my pain was coming from. Which turned out to be in a lot of different places. Other Drs would give me an epidural and it never lasted more than 48 hours. Then prescribe pain killers and antinflamatories and basically give up. It is seriously unbelievable that I am pain free after so many years. I recommend him to everyone.

This is actually Laurie Dunnagan posting and not my husband (don't know how that happened, but...) and I can only say good things about Dr. Mac and his staff. I had the best experience and then the best outcome one could hope for. I had RFA done in my lumbar area, without sedation, but with nice conversation, good music, great care, and for the first time in a very long time I am pain free. I feel unburdened. So to Dr. McAnnally, Jeannie, Breanna, Sam, and all the others who were so very nice, thank you for this wonderful gift. (I'll miss seeing you all, though.)

When I started at Napm seven years ago I was very sick (physically) , I met Dr Macanally he spent two hours with me my first appointment trying to help me figure out what was wrong and how best to fix it . After several referrals and many after hours calls I was finally on my way to starting to feel better. Dr Macanally always made me feel like he really was concerned about my well being , but also the well being of our communities. I never wanted to be on Pain management in the first place but seven spine surgeries— you are definitely on pain meds . He managed my pain never over medicated which I have always valued . He was always so conservative with dosing . I didn’t want to be a statistic while trying to recover from my terrible situation. I didn’t want to have to take pain meds for the rest of my life either . With the assistance of the classes offered at Napm by Donna I learned about pain and how my body and brain don’t always work together, that my brain can trick my body and sometimes pain medicine can make it worse not better . I successfully was able to have my final 7th surgery a lumbar fusion and after a slow wean I was able to get off pain medicine, it’s been over a year an half and I haven’t wanted pain medicine once . I have my life back and I am 100% positive I wouldn’t be where I am today without Dr Macanally! THANK YOU HEATH!!

No ma'am, our acupuncturist, Mrs. Katrina White, LAc is not a physician. She is a nationally licensed and certified acupuncturist through the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine; she does fall under our group's (Northern Anesthesia & Pain Medicine) contract/in-network status for many commercial payers, so I would recommend calling our front desk (622-7246) to see if we can help navigate the question with your insurance company - there may be some nuance there that isn't readily apparent on their disclosure.
