We brought Lily in because her incision was bleeding post-surgery and we were worried. Our regular vet was closed so we took her to VVC and they triaged her within 15 minutes. How quickly they were able to triage Lily to make sure she was ok, and how they let me call and check-in over the phone while my husband was driving her in

I wish more people took the time to leave good reviews and give this place grace. When I discovered my boy unresponsive I immediately called and he received the critical care he needed for his emergency. The charges are very transparent here and options were discussed if we couldn’t afford it such as care credit. The entire staff, both shifts, were compassionate and professional. It’s an emergency place so you don’t understand what’s going on behind the scenes. Treat the staff with the same kindness you’d expect. Our family and BooBoo thank you and we hope to not see you for any more emergencies but it’ll be the first place we call again if need be.

It's an emergency hospital, so the wait time is gonna be long. I know people get stressed in emergency situations, so bring your patience with you because everyone from the front staff to the veterinarians take thorough care of your pets. My cat, or better described as Fatniss Everdeen got sick from eating a cheddar biscuit from Red Lobster. The Hunger Games are real with this house hippo. Anyway, they took the best care of her after she purged her soul on my carpet. I don't plan on returning because I don't intend to have another emergency, but if you do have the unfortunate need to seek after hours veterinarian care, choose VVC. Also, the place is so clean and you would never know it was a hospital for animals. There is no smell of animals or anything!

Lucy, our two year old German Shepherd, had an Addisonian crisis. This was the first time we were aware she had Addison's Disease. Dr Jewett, from Hartwood Animal Hospital, referred us to the VVC. Lucy was in the care of the wonderful Drs, Nurses and staff at the VVC for about 24 hours. She then returned home to us and is quickly getting back to being her noramal happy self. The communication, regarding treatment, Lucy's status throughout her stay and transparent cost expectations combined with the outstanding care for our pet was wonderful. Thank you VVC Fredericksburg!

Per Google map you're 14 minutes from the RV Resort. Are you a full service 24 hour emergency facility? Do you keep anti venom on hand in case a pet requires snake bite treatment?

Alison Smith | Sep 30, 2019

Hi Sharon. VVC's Emergency Department is open 24/7/365 fully equipped for all your veterinary emergencies, including veterinary criticalists for cases such as snakebites. Like a human ER, cases for the ER are seen on a walk in basis. However, if you are able to call the clinic to let them know the nature of your emergency and your ETA it enables the ER staff to prep for your arrival.
