Negative: Staff was rude, room smelled musty, curtains were broken, ac didn¿t really work, it ran, but didn¿t seem to put out much cold air, nothing within walking distance was open on Sunday, which I guess may be a blue law thing down there.

The location is perfect. Within a few miles of whatever you need. The parking lot is easy to get into and out of. The staff was helpful. The only issues I had was with the room's cleanliness. The beds seemed very clean and the bathroom appeared clean. The one issue I had was with the bathroom ceiling. It's absolutely disgusting. Check out the photo.

Great location. Hotel lobby area is nice. Front desk staff that we encountered was mediocre at best. Rooms are nice and the sink at the coffee station was great, but our room smelled dank, or like the carpets needed cleaning.

Newberry is a charming town but we had the misfortune of visiting on Monday and everything was closed. The Hampton Inn is very well appointed and has an excellent breakfast. The room was comfortable, clean and quiet and the staff was friendly. Please allow me to pass along some suggestions to make your guests more comfortable: Although the bathrooms look slick with shelves of towels, there are no towel bars. Most of us hang our wet face cloth and towel up after use instead of a wet heap on the counter. Also, most people travel with a hanging toiletry bag - but alas, no handy place (like a towel bar) to hang it. After a long day of driving I felt like a hot shower. The entire place fogged up as there is no exhaust fan. The shower curtain was too small for the rod and as hard as I tried, water escaped onto the floor - which I mopped up of course. There are no drawers for stowing your clothes. It feels so much more like home if you can have your clothes readily available in a drawer. Living out of a suitcase isn't so much fun. Please take my suggestions seriously as I've been staying in hotels for years and was in the hospitality industry for part of my career. I only offer the suggestions to be helpful.
