Very Mediocre overall. Made a reservation online. Arrived and a very young woman was confused about both the reservation and the seating. The menu advertised Macadamia Orange Spinach salad. A salad was served and no nuts. The waitress was informed and another person came to the table and said, "We ran out of Macadamia we can throw some pecans on. The salad was returned and a Caesar replacement was served also of poor quality. The supposed gumbo was composed of a twin to canned brown gravy. The main courses had been exposed to the food preservation technique before refrigeration, SALT. This place needs a new chef who supervises everything that goes out.

Always love this place and one of our go to dinner spots when we visit Fernandina. However, the new menu and dinner quality was not what we had previously experienced. Decent but not great. Had the flounder special, fish was cooked well however, no flavor really in the dish, potato crisp was ok but too thick, squash had no seasoning. Just ok. Many of the items we always liked were no longer available on the menu including the deserts. We went for the key lime pie, which I never order out I guess for good reason. This was key lime jello on graham cracker crust... Not totally disappointed but will most likely look elsewhere next time visiting. I'm sad for that.

Great experience for birthday dinner. A busy Saturday night and glad we had reservations. My first experience here. The dining room is very small with maybe 8 tables, nicely set with white tablecloths. Servers were very attentive and food was excellent. We ordered crab cakes, wedge salad, boubon glazed salmon, and seafood Mac and cheese. All were excellent.

Waiter was focused on others..not a 1 person visitor. And did not ask about desert..which I wanted.

Does Joe's allow non-service dogs in the courtyard as they did for many many years? Answer...NO! Even though we were told otherwise two days ago.

I apologize for any confusion but there is a city ordinance that you have to have a permit through the city. Currently we do not have one. We do allow service dogs. Do you happen to know the name of the person so I can clarify our policy with them?

Not generally necessary for 2 people, maybe 4, but definitely make reservations for more than 4. Also, keep in mind they are busier on weekend nights. Always better to make reservations.
