I’ve been coming here ever since they opened. Dr. Beckwith is the best! She is very helpful and kind. Definitely would recommend to anyone

I truthfully am not sure where to start. While I'm sure this review will be ignored due to the many good reviews, I feel the need to make sure my experience at MetroMed is public. After not being able to get into a GP after moving since most places stopped taking new patients, I decided to visit MetroMed for a few things of concern (mainly because of their good reviews). I went alone and had a good experience with the nurse and mostly with the nurse practitioner who saw me. It was determined I most likely had a thyroid issue, not a big deal as it runs in my family. So an ultrasound and blood work were ordered. Within a matter of 10-20 minutes (I was without any family), I was told I had something on my thyroid that needed to be biopsied and I was being tested for leukemia (no explanation why). The words biopsy, cancer, surgery were being thrown around and at me like a normal conversation, all while I was bursting in to tears because that was not even why I visited. The doctor left the room as if nothing happened. This is no joke. Please note: I may not even need a second opinion much less a biopsy. The doctor threw in worse case scenario for no reason. I had absolutely NO reason to believe I had leukemia, yet I was told to call the next day to get my results. They allowed me to then just leave the urgent care alone in tears. In what was the most painful, traumatizing, and difficult 48 hours of my life, I called and called and could not get through to get my results, even though the receptionist told me they had come in, she just wasn't qualified to read them. I then received an email with a scheduled phone call time with the doctor the NEXT day, as if my anxiety meant nothing. The time came, and then an hour passed. No call. I called two times, and both time they said "well it's really up to her when she calls." I am blessed beyond belief that my results came back normal, but this was TWO DAYS after I was told I could possibly have a life threatening disease. The unprofessionalism, lack of care, and lack of promptness is astounding. This place does not deserve anyone's business for putting me and my family through this hell. Never ever going back and will absolutely make sure anyone I know does not either.

Needed to see a medical professional quickly, as I required treatment now in order to be recovered in time for an interview in 5 days. Took only 2 hours for a walk-in appt, and all of the staff were highly professional and attentive. Can't say enough good things about this facility, in particular FNP Lucille Tussey and London! Will definitely use again!!

Hello, My negative experience happened when I tried to be seen @ 4:40 pm on Memorial Day. According to their website they didn’t close until 4 pm that day. Much to my surprise their doors were locked! I explained that I had an infected animal bite that needed medical attention. The employee that saw me stated they had closed earlier so they could celebrate the day. Great, I’d driven 45 minutes to reach them before they closed. I ended up being seen in the ER at INOVA Loudon Hospital which was overflowing with patients. Even though I had to wait to be seen, they didn’t turn me away! Shame on them. I just needed some antibiotics to curb the infection that had started.

We just did it Monday. No need for doctor's note or symptoms. Just drive up and provide insurance info. They say 2-3 days, but we took it Monday and didn't get the results until Friday.
1000 to 1800 Monday to Friday

I've been there 4 times, 2 times for myself and 2 times for kids' broken bones. We were checked in quickly and called back to the room in about 5 minutes. Once in the room, the waiting time was minimal for the doctor to come in. I believe the total time spent from beginning to end of our visits was a little over an hour. We didn't feel rushed, they spent as much time as we needed, but were sensitive to not keeping us waiting any longer than necessary.
